Waste & Recycling
Parkes Shire Council has a vision to improve planning and delivery of waste management services that are environmentally sustainable. Council is a member of the NetWaste collaborative waste group comprising some 31 Council's. NetWaste implements cooperative projects to improve planning and delivery of waste management services across the region.

Used Oil Collection Facility - Published: 21 Dec 2007
A used oil collection facility has been located at Parkes Waste Landfill Depot. Full used oil containers can be dropped off adjacent to the tank during depot opening hours which are 8.30am to 5.30pm seven (7) days for decanting periodically. more ..

The Parkes Waste Depot is open between the hours of 8.30am and 5.30pm, seven days per week. The depot is closed on Christmas Day and Good Friday. more ..

Council currently provides a waste collection service to Parkes and surrounding areas. The Parkes Shire Council rolled out a new recycling scheme in December 2005.
