Best Practice Pricing Policy

On 1 July 2005 Council introduced Best Practice Pricing for its water and sewer business in general compliance with the guidelines set out by the Department of Energy, Utilities and Sustainability (now known as the Dept of Water and Energy). This pricing was a prerequisite for eligibility for financial assistance towards the capital costs of backlog works under the Country Towns Water Supply and Sewer Program.
