Parkes Early History

A new web site detailing the early history of Parkes has been developed as a community work for the dole project. The site features the early history of the town.

The work for the dole project developed website details the early history of the town from the exploration of the area in the early 1800's and the discovery of gold in 1862, to the official renaming of the town to Parkes in 1873. To access the Parkes Early History, click the link below:
